…but god… Episode 18
Transcript
“But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”
Romans 3:21-26 NASB1995
Today we look at the reason that we all need a savior. Verses 22-23
“even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
From Peter, James and John to All the Saints of the Christian church, to Mother Theresa and Billy Graham, and to us. There is no distinction, we ALL need a savior for we ALL have sinned.
This is why it’s not good to compare yourself and your sin to the sins of others by saying well “at least I am not as bad as that person”.
No!
We need to receive His mercies, for they are new every morning.
Then and only then through the power of the Holy Spirit can we go and preach the gospel and be Jesus’ hands and feet.
Therefore, do not rely on your own strength to tackle the days obstacles. Rely on His Holy Spirit that flows in and through you. Trust is Him and His perfect will that creates little miracles that help you overcome the obstacles of the day. This will allow us to see the God moments, where He taps us on the shoulder and gently tells us, now is the time to act. Go and preach the good news, by seeking to serve and save the lost.
Lord we thank you! We thank you that you sent Christ as a living sacrifice for forgiveness of our sinful ways. Thank you also for His resurrection that proves the death has no dominion over eternity with you. Thank you that we are saved by faith. Please help our faith in you and the power of the Holy Spirit in us to grow exponentially, so that your word would be spoken in our Jerusalem, in our Samaria in our Israel and to the ends of the earth.
Blessings and Press In and Press On!
