…but god… Episode 181
Transcript
“After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Peter 5:10-11 NASB2020
Peter explains that our suffering will be for a short time. Compared to eternity own time here on earth is short. Therefore, our suffering will be short. Also if we truly put our hope and trust in Christ then our sufferings here on earth won’t seem as bad because we will endure it through the eyes of the Holy Spirit.
Then Peter goes on to explain that Christ will “perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
Knowing that, I can endure anything that the world throws at me. Because through Christ, I have the hope and strength to endure! As the apostle James explained in his letter “Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
James 1:2-4 NASB2020
I stand in Christ alone! He is my rock, my fortress, my foundation and He is the reason I live, both now and through eternity.
Lord God, we praise your Holy and Mighty Name! We thank you that we get to know you through Christ and we thank you for loving us and for wiping our sins away and giving us eternal life with you through Christ’s resurrection. Give us the strength to endure, help us to rest in the power of your mighty name. So that we can do the work of proclaiming what you have done for us, so that others may know the perfect peace that only comes through you. We pray all this in Jesus name Amen…
Shalom, Shalom blessings! Press in and Press on!
