…but god… Episode 158

1 Peter 2: 4-5

Transcript

“And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by people, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

1 Peter 2:4-5 NASB2020

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the one who gives us life, He is the one who we must build our lives upon. Following Christ is a daily choice to sacrifice ourselves and live for Him. We must lay our burdens, and our fleshly desires at the foot of the cross. When we are all in for Christ, we are able to draw from the living stone of life and become living stones to others.  Once again, Peter, is reminding us that it is only through sacrifice of ourselves that we can truly draw from Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit. Therefore, allowing the Lord to ; “equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Hebrews 13:21 NASB2020

Our Lord and Savior we praise you, we honor you and we seek to serve your mighty name. Thank you for being our Living Stone! Help us to truly sacrifice so that we can draw from your power and use it to glorify you every hour of every day. We pray all this in Jesus Name Amen!
