…but god… Episode 159

1 Peter 2: 6-8

Transcript

“For this is contained in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, And the one who believes in Him will not be put to shame.” This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for unbelievers, “A stone which the builders rejected, This became the chief capstone,” and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this they were also appointed.”

1 Peter 2:6-8 NASB2020

We are appointed to read the word seek, The Lord’s instructions, and follow His ways. Listen to the power of the Holy Spirit that is within us. This is the way in which we build our life upon the rock, the cornerstone who is Christ our Lord.

The cornerstone of a building is what bears all the weight to a building. If we know that Christ is the cornerstone of our faith then we must allow Him to bear all the weight of our lives. For His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.”

1 Peter 5:6-7 NASB2020
